A New York State employee is accused of removing items from New York State archives and selling them on eBay over a period of several years. eBay in conjunction with the New York State Attorney's office is attempting to get these items back to their rightful place.

AP reports that eBay will buy the items back from the buyers for the price paid on the site and return them the New York State archives. Certainly eBay has no requirement to do this but it is the right thing to do!

With all the controversy surrounding eBay's announced changes and fee increases, sometimes things like this go un-noticed.
