eBay Says Pennyslvania Postpones Action Against Drop Off Store and Trading Assistant
In an interview with Jim "Griff" Griffith on Tuesday November 27th, "Griff" stated that the Pennsylvania Auctioneer Examiners Board late last week agreed to postpone disciniplary hearings against an iSoldIt store owner and an eBay Trading Assistant, both cited earlier this year with violations of the Pennsylvania Auctioneer provisions.
Early last week the Erie Times News reported in an AP story that the iSoldIt store and the Trading Assistant had been cited for conducting auctions without a Pennsylvania Auctioneers License. The two faced possible fines of up to $1000.00 per item sold.
In the interview, "Griff" said that the PA Auctioneer Examiners Board has postponed any hearing against the two pending action on PA Bill 908 which would exempt sellers on the internet from the need to hold an Auctioneers License.
Griffith stated that eBay's Government Relations team works with eBay user's to educate legislators on the needs of eBay sellers. He also stated that all eBay users can use the Government Relations link on the bottom of the eBay Homepage to learn more about eBay's governmental relations through their "Mainstreet" program.
